I wanted to record a little ditty as a journal update for some time now but for one reason
or another I simply have not done so... until recently.
Shaking off my laziness, I tuned my Ibanez RG guitar,
launched Sound Recorder on my computer, and got an extension cord for the Crate B10XL amplifier.
Since my microphone is integrated into my monitor -- and hooking a standard microphone
into the mic jack does not seem to work on my system -- I precariously placed the
amplifier on my computer desk. The amplifier rested upon several computer books
and three large Webster's Dictionaries to the left of the monitor's microphone.
This recording followed a series of trial runs to test the recording levels.
It is not a flawless take but the thought of putting the amplifier back upon my computer desk
and a potential de-gaussing of my monitor due to the magnetic field generated by
the large magnet on the amplifier's speaker determined that this take would suffice.
Without further ado...
